In April 2021, Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Caribbean, Inc. (MMSC), which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Mitsubishi Motors Corporation in Puerto Rico, donated 5,000 dollars (approximately 550,000 yen*) to MAM, an NGO, as the fund to purchase food. MAM provides support mainly to the women in perinatal period (period covering dozen weeks prior to the delivery and soon after the delivery) and their families in need.
MMSC also contributed in July 2020 the local community by organizing drive-through soup kitchen and providing daily use items within its premises in collaboration with NPO PRCambia for the residents in Toa Baja Municipality in Puerto Rico, who are in needs of support in the midst of the suffering arising from the ongoing pandemic. MMSC intends to continue to contribute to the development of the local community of Puerto Rico in collaboration with NPOs etc.

In various occasions, we have worked hand in hand with different organizations with a common interest to contribute and giving back to Puerto Rico community. We are always grateful to be part on initiatives aimed to support the well-being of families.
- Quote from thank you letter from MAM
We are writing to express our gratitude for the generous donation you gave to our organization and your community during the COVID-19 emergency. We appreciate this kind gesture that substantially impacts our country's perinatal community that is so often forgotten. It feels great to know that we have great friends like the Mitsubishi people; we can count on when our community needs it. We will always be grateful to them.
The funds were very helpful and were used to purchase food for families in our community. Your support means so much, not only to our team, but also to the families we impact. Thanks to contributions like yours, we delivered food boxes to 65 families of 3-4 people, impacting approximately 195-260 people.
For the MAM Center, Mitsubishi has been key to our resilience as an NGO in Puerto Rico.
