In March 2022, Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (MMTh), a production and sales company in Thailand, concluded MoU to conduct pilot study on the commercial use of light electric vehicles (light commercial EV) MINICAB-MiEV with Thai national postal service provider Thailand Post and PTT Oil and Retail Business PLC. (OR), a retail business company of the state-owned oil company PTT, which offers EV charging stations.
Over the next year, MMTh will make two units of MINICAB-MiEV available to Thai Post and explore the viability of wider adoption of light commercial EVs in Thailand by collecting and analyzing usage data in actual mail delivery service. Furthermore, MMTh also aims to reduce long-term footprint on environment through reduced emission of CO2 during the delivery service.
MMTh intends to continue to work on reduction of CO2 emission of the industrial circle and advance the path to carbon neutrality.
