DENDO Community Support Program - Free Loan of Outlander PHEVs to eight local governments for supporting COVID-19 vaccination programs [Japan]

MMC is promoting the DENDO Community Support Program. Under this program, from April 2021, we began to loan one unit of Outlander PHEV at free of charge to each of eight local governments where our business sites are located for supporting the governments' COVID-19 vaccination programs.

The loaned Outlander PHEVs are expected to be used not only for transporting medical teams and necessary supplies to the vaccination sites, but also for transporting the vaccines that need cold-chain distribution and as a backup power source in case of a power outage at the vaccination sites. We will support the COVID-19 vaccination programs by leveraging the "PHEVs' abilities to act as a vehicle as well as a power source."

The local governments listed below respectively held a commemorative ceremony, and we received words of appreciation from the heads of them.
