In February 2022, Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (MMTh), a production and sales company in Thailand, received the Green Industry Level 4 certificate from the Ministry of Industry as a company which pursues a sustainable society while giving consideration to the environment.
Green Industry is a program conducted by Thailand's Ministry of Industry to enhance awareness of the industry towards environmental issues. MMTh received Green Industry Level 3 certificate in 2015 for introduction of environmental management system. This time, MMTh was certified as Green Industry Level 4, indicating that the company is making more contribution to environment. This means that MMTh was recognized as a company that not only all the workers at the factory consider the environment and social responsibility is established as the corporate culture but can also constantly implement, evaluate and further develop such responsibility systems.
Under MMC Environment Plan Package, which Mitsubishi Motors established in 2020 for achievement of a sustainable society for the next 30 years, MMTh aims to promote actions against climate change including CO2 reduction through the use of electric vehicles and renewable energy, development of resource recycling society and reduced pollution by limiting impact of business activity and products on the environment.
