In January 2022, Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (MMTh), a production and sales company in Thailand, concluded an MoU to launch environmental project "Solar for Lives" to install solar power systems at hospitals in Thailand with the Ministry of Public Health, Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT), and Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (TGO: public organization). "Solar for Lives" plans to spend a total of 60 million baht (*approx. 207 million yen) and install solar power systems to 40 regional hospitals in the country by 2032.
It is expected that the project will reduce CO2 emission by more than 17,300 tons and save a hospital the utility expense of 400,000 baht (approx. 1.38 million yen) per year in the next ten years.
To contribute and growth with Thai society, MMTh focuses on the three field of "education", "environment" and "health". MMTh believes that this project will make positive contribution in both environment and health sectors by promoting solar power generation at hospitals.
MMTh intends to continue to make contribution in the three fields under our CSR policy of "To contribute and grow with Thai society".
