Supporting Measures to Address COVID-19

Our Okazaki Plant, Kyoto Plant and Mizushima Plant produced face shields necessary for medical facilities and donated them to local governments, medical institutions, and other relevant organizations.

We lent one vehicle of eK X Space free of charge to Soja City, Okayama Prefecture for supporting the transportation of Soja Denim Masks produced and sold at welfare facilities for the disabled (welfare facilities providing Type-A or Type-B support for continuous employment of disabled persons) and for the transportation of denim fabric used for the masks.

We donated 4 million yen to the international NGO World Vision Japan's "COVID-19 Emergency Funds" from Mitsubishi Motors STEP Funds raised through voluntary donations from employees and Mitsubishi Motors Matching Gift Program.
The donations will be used for 17 countries with vulnerable healthcare systems to raise awareness of the prevention of virus infection, such as teaching hand-washing with soap and promoting hygienic behavior, and to support necessary measures such as providing face masks to medical workers.

PT Mitsubishi Motors Krama Yudha Sales Indonesia (MMKSI) donated five vehicles of "L300" (light commercial truck) to the Indonesia Red Cross.

In addition, the Red Cross team engaged in the activities for disinfecting COVID-19 virus has started using one vehicle of "Outlander PHEV" provided to the Indonesian Red Cross as a disaster support vehicle.

Mitsubishi Motors Krama Yudha Indonesia (MMKI) lent one vehicle of "Outlander PHEV" and donated 9,000 N95 medical masks.

PT Mitsubishi Motors Krama Yudha Sales Indonesia (MMKSI) installed portable hand washing station units and hand washing liquid in 10 public spaces, including hospitals, markets and parks, throughout Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia. MMKSI also donated a total of 5,000 face masks and 100 sets of food packages (which are the minimum necessities for living, such as rice, cooking oil, canned food) to children at orphanages and those who have been impacted from COVID-19 pandemic.

PT Mitsubishi Motors Krama Yudha Sales Indonesia (MMKSI), our sales distributor in Indonesia, donated 30 sets of online learning facilities (such as personal computers, printers, projectors, and internet data plans for 1 year), face masks, daily clothes, books, children's toys, and other basic needs to 10 orphanages in and around Jakarta.

Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (MMTh) donated seven ventilators, 1,400 protective suits and 4,000 N95 medical masks to hospitals in Thailand.

Mitsubishi Motors Vietnam Co., Ltd. (MMV) donated 3 billion dong to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee as a measure to prevent COVID-19 infection.

Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC), which is the Mitsubishi Motors' production and sales hub in Philippines, lent two vehicles of "L300" each to the Department of Transportation in the Philippines and the City of Santa Rosa where its production site is located. MMPC also donated 50 rest benches, 200 water tanks, and 400 face shields to the City of Santa Rosa.

Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (MMM), the exclusive distributor of Mitsubishi Motors vehicles in Malaysia, donated 10 laptops to Pertubuhan Kebajikan Yesuwin Mahligai Selangor (PKYMS), a non-profit organization that operates child welfare facilities.

Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. (MMNA) donated one vehicle of "Outlander PHEV" to support transportation for the staff of Community Resource Center (CRC) which is the facility delivering groceries and other daily necessities to local residents who cannot go out to prevent the spread of COVID-19 infection.

Peugeot Citroen Mitsubishi Automotive Rus (PCMA Rus), which is our vehicle production plant in Russia, loaned five vehicles of Outlander free of charge to medical institutions as part of its activities to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Mitsubishi Motors de Mexico, S.A. de C.V. (MMDM) has loaned free of charge L200 to support the delivery of foods to the poor by NPO Comedor Santa Maria.

Mitsubishi Motors Australia Ltd. (MMAL) lent a total of eight vehicles (Pajero Sport and Triton) to New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, and other Australian states to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

GAC Mitsubishi Motors Co., Ltd. (GMMC) donated six vehicles (three vehicles of ASX and three vehicles of Eclipse Cross) to a medical institution and other relevant facilities in Hunan Province.

GMMC also donated protective products such as hand creams to a hospital in Changsha City, Hunan Province, and donated two face mask-production lines to the Changsha Red Cross.
