'MORE PROTECTIVE / FUNCTIONAL'
The design concept for the fender accessory aimed to be bold, protective, and in line with the latest design trends while maintaining a unique MITSUBISHI MOTORS genuine design. We decided to integrate a squarish fender outline that is perfectly integrated into the ALL-NEW TRITON’s body shape design. Furthermore, the addition of seven glossy black bolts enhances its strong and functional appearance.
The side door protector, hood protector, and over fenders are designed to have the same or very close grain and colour, creating a harmonious design between all parts.
The design concept for the side door garnish aimed to achieve a bold and sharp look, in line with the ALL-NEW TRITON's body design.
For the bed liner, stylish and functional are the main keywords. This part is very important for pickup truck users as it needs to be both practical and visually appealing. We conducted rigorous load tests with suppliers to ensure the effectiveness of the wood slits’ fixed position design, as well as the drink holders.
The side window deflector follows the ALL-NEW TRITON's cabin shape line, whilst the hood protector is seamlessly integrated with its bonnet design.
'MORE STYLISH'
The B pillar protector, door handle protector, and fuel lid garnish were designed to create design harmony with the ALL-NEW TRITON by incorporating the honeycomb pattern from its front grille.
For the rail bar, fuel lid garnish, and LED scuff, we incorporated the new TRITON logo to enhance authenticity.

Genuine Reliability
Our perspective is that accessories should seamlessly integrate with the vehicle, enhancing its overall appeal. We aim to develop accessories that not only meet the expectations of our customers but also cater to those who have higher demands for the original vehicle design. After thirteen years in vehicle design, I have spent the past nine years in my current department developing accessories. One aspect of my job that I truly love is the opportunity it provides me to have closer contact with our customers.
I ensure that each accessory seamlessly integrates with the vehicle, even if it is installed after the vehicle has been sold on the market. I am highly attentive to achieving integration not only in terms of styling but also in sophisticated functionalities of the vehicle, such as safety systems, aerodynamics, and quietness. Genuine accessories are designed to be fully compatible with all vehicle functions and enhance its inherent characteristics.
Take the ALL-NEW TRITON's fender arch moulding, which enhances the tough image of the vehicle with its large volume. Its optimised securing design provides fitting reliability and prevents aerodynamic noise. This presents an interesting design challenge. The ALL-NEW TRITON is manufactured in Thailand, and many of its parts are supplied by Thai suppliers. We collaborated with the design division to finalise the design, aiming to showcase the exceptional technical capabilities of the local production sites. I hope that the pursuit of creating these intricate accessories will drive further advancements in the technical expertise of our suppliers.
A customer generally chooses accessories for their appearance or functionality. However, some of the heavier accessories may limit vehicle functionality after installation. Nevertheless, we prioritise genuine reliability and strive to minimise any performance limitations by involving accessory designers in consultations with the testing division from the early stages of the vehicle design process. This is what we mean by ‘genuine’.
Responding to Global Needs
In Australia, there is an enduring demand for parts that protect vehicles from collisions with wild animals, particularly kangaroos, which are often involved in accidents due to their large size and quick movements. These collisions can cause severe damage. As a result, many vehicles in Australia are equipped with iron pipes, grilles, metal part protectors, and additional warning lamps and antennae. However, installing such aftermarket accessories can have negative effects, such as limiting the range of the vehicle's front sensors and potentially harming its durability and performance due to the added weight. Therefore, increasing the robustness of the ALL-NEW TRITON during the design stage presented a challenge. Our goal was to meet our customers' demands by creating a front protection bar that combines strength and functionality to safeguard the vehicle against animal collisions whilst maintaining the overall design of the ALL-NEW TRITON.
