Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) has been selected for the second consecutive year for inclusion in the FTSE4GOOD Index Series and the FTSE Blossom Japan Index, developed by FTSE Russell for ESG investment.
The FTSE4Good Index Series is considered one of the key criteria for investors around the world to select investment targets based on a company's ESG initiatives. The FTSE Blossom Japan Index is designed to measure the performance of Japanese companies with excellent ESG performance, and has been selected as one of the indices for ESG investment by the GPIF, the world's largest public pension fund management organization.
We have identified materiality issues that we need to address from various issues in each ESG field. The Sustainability Committee, chaired by the Representative Executive Officer, President & CEO, deliberates and decides on the targets for initiatives to address the materiality issues, and implements the PDCA cycle by confirming the progress of these initiatives. We are working to realize a sustainable society and enhance our corporate value while strengthening communication with Sustainability Committee members and other executives, employees and other stakeholders.
Our vision is to "Create vibrant society by realizing the potential of mobility". We will continue to take a long-term perspective, strive to disclose information transparently, and promote sustainability-related initiatives company-wide.
